Johnson holds a Bachelor’s degree in history and political science.
He holds a Master’s degree in Theology and Psychology.

Has managed several East Texas radio stations.

Recipient of seven legislative proclamations for service to the State of Texas.
Served on The Texas Elections Advisory Board.

Recognized as one of nation’s top authorities on Country Music history.
Founded the Nacogdoches/Lufkin Division of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
